Slowdown Sunday // Light Your Fire

This is a very special one, located on Sauvie Island!

Visit here for full details and registration!

Join Jenni Jo and Leslie Moore for a very special Slow Down Sunday, LIGHT YOUR FIRE Edition, on the magical Sauvie Island! It promises to be an afternoon to remember, blending offerings, exercises, rituals and time ALL honoring the PRACTICE OF SLOWING DOWN. Space is limited in order to maintain the feeling of sanctuary and offer you a retreat-like experience.

Leslie is the proprietress of The Candle Creation Bar located in NE Portland. She will take us on an aromatherapeutic, affirmation creation journey, resulting in a unique, one-of-a-kind (just like you!) soy candle to bring home for hours of self-healing rituals, recreated any time you wish.

Jenni Jo will lead the somatic portion of the Slow Down Sunday, teaching tension taming melting techniques through Yin Yamuna Body Rolling. Learn gentle techniques to soothe the nervous system and calm the adrenals. Poses are held for several minutes at a time, resulting in deep relaxation. Mats and rolling equipment provided for the session and available for purchase.

This 4.5 hour Experience begins with your drive to The Sanctuary on Sauvie Island. Feel the peace settle in as you transition from city to country. Feel your stress begin to melt as the sight of cars are replaced by ospey and eagles. Columbia River views, fruit trees and open countryside await! Our afternoon includes delicious snacks, herbal beverages and use of the Garden Oasis Sauna. It’s an afternoon of FEELING & SMELLING wonderful! Most importantly, this experience is designed for you to create ritual around taking your time and soaking up slowing down.

Directions to The Sanctuary given upon registration.

Bring robe/towel/flip flops for the Sauna portion of our day, following the workshops.

We look forward to Slowing Down with you!

Moving Grief x Candle-Making

Sliding Scale Registration

welcome to moving grief x affirmation candle-making ritual!

join us at the candle creation bar for a special event where we will come together to honor our grief through movement and find strength through affirmation + candle making.

w. leslie/ she will intentionally guide you through the mindful process of making a plant-based, scented soy candle while reflecting on your emotions through writing prompts and setting intentions for healing.

w. august /our bodies physically grip, clench, and hold onto emotions when we haven't had time, space, or resources to process. in this movement piece, we'll spend 60 minutes gently unsticking the body using movement of the mind, body, and breath to free up some space to feel. we'll stir things up to settle into ourselves with more compassion. there will be optional space to share at the end with the intention to see one another in the loneliness that grief so heavily casts.

let's create a safe space of love and support as we navigate through our feelings and embrace the power of movement, affirmation + candlelight.

see you there.

what to bring:

yoga mat
blanket
water bottle
a mug for tea

about leslie moore (she/her)
the candle creation bar was born out of the COVID era in 2020. globally, 2020 was a challenging year for many of us and I thought, let’s just put on our masks and learn how to have some fun again.

as the year got harder, more isolating, and heartbreaking; grieving, healing and connection were needed more than ever.

the candle creation bar prospered from the deep knowing that we needed a safe, healing, connected space to create and have a good time. the self-crafted "I am" statements that pair with your candle creation are my way of empowering others to open up the doors to their healing journeys and connect with their deeper needs.
