Founder, Leslie Moore is an entrepreneur through and through and The Candle Creation Bar is her fourth business venture.

She spent her late 20s as an esthetician which led her to become her own boss. In 2010, Leslie quit her job at a waxing salon and traveled to Costa Rica for Yoga Teacher Training. That experience changed her life forever. She spent 7 years teaching yoga and doing esthetic work full time in her own studio. In 2011, Leslie began Yo Soy Candle which was born out of serendipity, her healing journey, and a deep connection to community. From there, she opened up The Candle Creation Bar in 2020 and community showed up BIG! Globally, 2020 was a challenging year for many of us and Leslie thought, let’s put on our masks and learn how to connect and have some fun again.

The Candle Creation Bar is a live experience of her mission behind Yo Soy Candle, to use affirmations and the element of fire to connect to your deeper needs through ritual which is part of Leslie’s daily practice.

As the year of 2020 got harder, more isolating, and heartbreaking; healing and connection were needed more than ever.

The Candle Creation Bar prospered from the deep knowing that we needed a safe, healing, connected space to create and come back to ourselves and community. The self-crafted Intention that pairs with your candle creation are Leslie’s way of empowering others to open up the doors to their healing journeys and connect with their deeper needs.

In the midst of expanding and thriving, Yo Soy Candle was sold to Leslie’s best friend, Emily Hayes, in Jan 2024 and now she is reaching for the stars with her new event space and gallery!

Leslie loves sunbathing while reading, anytime in nature, city cycling, gluten free baking, herbalism and world travel. She lives in the Foster Powell neighborhood with her lab Dexter and husband, Dave.
